专家简介：李杰，芬兰阿尔托大学数学与系统分析系博士后。2017年6月于西南交通大学获博士学位，博士期间受CSC资助前往美国田纳西大学电子工程与计算机系联合培养一年。2017年6月—2019年2月在湖北大学数学系从事博士后研究，期间多次访问香港科技大学和美国马里兰大学。主要研究方向为分布式存储系统、保密信息提取、分布式计算、序列设计等。近年来在IEEE Trans. Inf. Theory, IEEE Trans. Commun.等高水平期刊上发表学术论文10余篇，先后主持国家自然科学基金青年基金项目和中国博士后基金面上资助各一项。相关研究成果获2017 IEEE Jack Keil Wolf ISIT Student Paper Award和2016 IEEE Chengdu Section Excellent Student Paper Award。

报告摘要：Matrix multiplication is one of the key operations in many science and engineering fields, such as machine learning and cloud computing. Carrying out the computation on powerful distributed servers is desirable for improving efficiency, as the user can divide the computation task into several sub-tasks and sends them to many servers. By scaling out computations across many distributed servers, security concern arises if the servers are untrustworthy. In this talk, some notable SDMM schemes and new SDMM schemes with small communication cost will be introduced.
