陈媛，女，1982年2月生，2010年于北京师范大学获理学博士学位，同年进入湖北大学工作至今，现为湖北大学教授。目前主要从事密码学领域相关研究。主持国家自然科学基金天元青年基金项目、国家自然科学基金青年项目、湖北省教育厅优秀中青年项目、湖北省教育厅重点项目各1项。在Finite fields and their applications、Linear algebra and its applications等国际期刊上发表论文多篇，出版学术专著1部。主要担任《初等数论》、《抽象代数》等课程的教学工作，曾获湖北大学“学子心中的魅力教师”、本科教学质量优秀奖、“田家炳杯”优秀指导教师等奖项，主持和参与多项省级、校级教研项目和一流课程，在《高等数学研究》、《大学数学》等教学期刊上发表教研论文多篇，指导研究生获“田家炳杯”全日制教育硕士学科教学（数学）专业教学技能大赛国家奖等。
