Chengyu Wu received the Ph.D. degree from The University of Hong Kong in 2020.

He is currently a PostDoctoral Fellow at the University of British Columbia working with Brian Marcus.

His research interest includes symbolic dynamics and information theory.

报告摘要：

In this talk, I will introduce a problem regarding the relation between the stationary capacity,

and the Markov capacity for a input-constraint channel.

After reformulating this information theoretic problem into a symbolic dynamics problem,

I will give various conditions under which the stationary capacity is achieved by a finite-order

Markov process.
