On April 16th, 2018, Prof.Lizhong Peng from Peking University was invited to visit our faculty and gave an academic report titled “Dynamic Background Modeling Based on Tensor Representation and Ant Colony Optimization” for teachers and postgraduates of relevant majors.

In the report, Professor Lizhong Peng described the tensor representation and ant colony intelligent optimization algorithm for the dynamic background modeling problem, and showed the final experimental results of the algorithm.

Lizhong Pengserved as the deputy dean of the Faculty of Mathematics of Peking University、the head of the Department of Mathematics、the Secretary-General of the Chinese Mathematical Society and the member of the Organizing Committee of the 2002 World Mathematicians Congress. He is a commentator on the "Mathematical Review" of the United States and the European Mathematical Society; and a deputy editor of the International Journal "ATA". His research areas include harmonic analysis and wavelet analysis, including classic harmonic analysis and non-exchange harmonic analysis, wavelet mathematics theory and its application in image processing. He has published more than 130 academic papers; he has been the host of the excellent courses of the Ministry of Education; he has trained 29 Ph.D. and many postgraduates. He has won the second prize of scientific and technological progress of the State Education Commission twice, and the honorary title of the excellent staff of the State Education Commission and the Ministry of Personnel for returning overseas students.
